You are a highly organized and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist with 2-4 years of relevant industry experience. You thrive in a high volume, fast paced, evolving environment. You are proficient in performing the complete Accounts Payable function, ensuring that all vendor accounts are properly paid and that all invoices are posted to the correct general ledger account. Processes invoices, receivables, produces financial information, sales and other data entry. This is a full-time position in Seattle offering a competitive compensation and benefits package. The benefits include 100% employee paid health insurance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Reconciles work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Charges expenses to accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation and processes.
  • Communicates with Clients and Vendors regarding accounts
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 2 or more years accounts payable experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  • General math and computation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, in a deadline driven environment.
  • Restaurant experience would be a plus.
